I have received some paperwork for a game called Guy R Us, including
pinouts, DIP settings and PCB test procedures, but I can't find any
references to it in the usual places. The closest I found was a game
named Gaiares, which is apparently pronounced "Guy-R-Us", but it is a
Sega Genesis/Mega Drive release fom 1990. The paperwork mentions a Z80
CPU, a 68A09EP CPU, 2764 EPROMs, 8910 sound generator, 6116 RAM etc.
which leads me to believe that it is probably older than that. It also
has a 36-pin edge connector. Some other clues are it has two amplifiers
that normally produce the same sounds, but two speakers can be
connected for "multi sound effect" (stereo?). It is a two pcb set as it
talks about top and bottom pcb. It has 1 and 2 player Up, Down, Left
and Right controls with one Push button. It has DIP settings for Number
of Fighters, Table or Upright, Points for additional Fighters and
Demonstration Mode Sound in addition to the coin/credit/free play
options. The instructions have a good number of spelling errors, so the
name may actually be incorrect.
I'm just curious if anyone knows this game or if it is one of the long
lost ones...

He might be talking about a special Casino Strip game. My retinas still
have burn-in from that accidental experience.

It looks like the paperwork is for a Gyruss bootleg. I compared the
pinouts and they match. Sometimes I can't see the forest for the trees,
I guess.
Thanks for your help.
