Hi,

I have ran out of ideas for this problem. No matter what or which movie file or disc i play, the computer will freeze shortly after 10-20 mins. The system itself is very stable, i mean i have no other problems whatsoever, except for movies.

Current system:
AMD Athlon 1Ghz
256 RAM
Creative GeForce2 MX (nVidia Detonator3 driver)
Soundblaster Live!Value
Pioneer DVD-Rom
Sony CD-RW
Ethernet card (Adaptec SCSI card)

Could someone tell me why it only freezes when i'm watching movies? Anyone have any clue as to why this happens? This is one of those problems that really gets on your nerves, and its really driving me crazy. Someone please help!!

Change the resolution to 800x600 before you start your DVD player. This might fix it.

Tried it, but it still happens.

Usually happens quickly when i'm playing movie files, such as .mpeg or streaming .rm.

I had quite the same problem when I overclocked my Geforce 2 MX card: the card is stable ad work well but the system freezes when i try running any movie (no matter size or length) the problem solved when i returned the card to the appropriate frequences

my system: T.bird 900, Asus A7V rev 1.02, 128 MB ram, Abit Geforce 2 MX (NV detonator 3), Pioneer 6X DVD, SBlive 1024.
