Creative GF2 running slow.

I have bought a Creative GF2 GTS and it it running really slow it in UT in D3d it does not seem that bad in opengl.. Also in q3 in Hq i get around 54fps a sec at 800x600 on a 1ghz Athlon that is bad is it not ?.... I have tried reinstalling windows but to no affect please anybody go any ideas...

I've heard mixed reviews on CL's drivers.Yes for your system that's slow.Try Nvida's drivers 6.31& 6.49.Stay away from 6.34,6.47, & 7.17 they suck.

I have sorted it out sought after reinstalling windows and running the Via drivers a hundred times I noticed that they where in a compressed folder (zip file) so I uncompressed the folder and presto... Q3 scores lovely but UT in d3d is alright until I get into some action and the framerate drops to about 10fps. So I though I would try opengl again in UT and boy its got slower now around 35fps compared to 50+ without the AGP drivers installed What.. is going on.
