Gaming laptop help?

Hi there,

I have been looking into purchasing a gaming laptop for xmas and after alot of research I have narrowed it down to 2 laptops.

My aim is to be able to play current games on at least a medium setting, ultra settings are not really an aim given my budget. (please dont suggest a desktop, as I am aware I get more bang for my buck with those. I am after portability more than anything and something I can just play sat on the couch, while the mrs watches tv)

My knowledge of GPU's and processors is very limited and I only really know the basics. As far as I can tell a good processor is essential, but a good GPU is key. Which brings me to my current conundrum! I have been looking at 2 laptops, one has a NVIDIA GT 650M and the other a NVIDIA GTX 660M. Now as far as I can see, the GT 650M matches and in some cases exceeds the 660M, yet the 660M is considerably more expensive.

The 2 specs are as follows...

- OPTION 1

Optimus Series: 15.6" Matte Full HD LED Widescreen (1920x1080)
Processor (CPU)

Intel® Core™i5 Dual Core Mobile Processor i5-3210M (2.50GHz) 3MB
Memory (RAM)

4GB SAMSUNG 1600MHz SODIMM DDR3 MEMORY (1 x 4GB)
Graphics Card

NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 660M - 2.0GB DDR5 Video RAM - DirectX® 11

- OPTION 2

Enigma IV: 15.6" Matte Full HD LED 16:9 Widescreen (1920x1080) (£35)
Processor (CPU)

Intel® Core™i5 Dual Core Mobile Processor i5-3210M (2.50GHz) 3MB
Memory (RAM)

4GB SAMSUNG 1600MHz SODIMM DDR3 MEMORY (1 x 4GB)
Graphics Card

NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 650M - 2.0GB DDR3 Video RAM - DirectX® 11

Price difference between the 2 options s £100, so is this price difference justifed in regards to performane? From what I have read, the 650M is just as good as the GTX 660M.

Also do you think these specs are sufficient to play current games on at least a medium setting?

Many thanks

Rob
