For auto matic updates, some boxes are not accessable, but I am the only user
with admin's rights...? In "Documents and Settings" there are four folders:
1) Me
2) Admin
3) Default User
4) All Users

Whats the deal? Can I get rid of some of those folders? Why can't i be
only user on my own comp?

These folders are normal on an XP setup. 1) is your account. 2) is the
default Admin account, useful for troubleshooting. 3) template for new user
accounts. 4) Catches items that are allowed for any user on the system, not
just the currently logged on user.

The accounts and folders are not directly related to your update problem.
Not directly, as there may be something unique to your user profile that
causes the update problem. Perhaps a program allowed to run at startup or
started manually and running while doing updates.

If using the web interface to access newsgroups, go to the Windows Update
site. Click on the "get help and support" link and follow the trail to the
update newsgroups.
