Had a very strange last couple of days. Bit funny now I look back on it. Me and two pals went out for a bit of a spin on thursday night in the car (a small citroen saxo). We decided to go and park in a woods (don't ask why). Wehn we saw this little dirt track leading into the woods. My little bro (18 yrs) sat in the passenger seat goes - drive up there it leads to a car park. Now any of you lot who have little bros - word of warning - never listen to them! This track was about the same width as my car sumtimes thinner. All the way down I'm saying where does this go. Little bro and his pal are saying keep going carparks down here we bring our bikes down here. Next thing I know - bout half a mile later - trees kind of block the path and theres a ditch. Fortuantely the area widened out a bit. So I decided to turn round and go back out. After a lot of pushing and shoving we got the car turned round. Facing uphill we tried to set off. I say tried the car wasn't going anywhere. After lots more pushing and bits of wood under the tires two hours later we had moved about two metres. So a call to our local fire department (not 999) and they sent some one out. Their fire tender couldn't get through the gates never mind down the track so 4 fireblokes wandered down to my car this was at about 10:30 at night. "you won't get that out tonight" - didn't fill me with hope really. So got a lift home in a firetruck. Had to wait up till midnight to borrow money off a mate (money goes in bank at 00:00) to see if we could pay a jcb driver doing road works to pull it out. Off goes this jcb at 9:30 friday morning. Comes back 10 15 mins later - can't get to it I keep sinking. - ah. So hunt round all day - dad comes up can't get his van up 20 metres never mind the whole track. So we went and found a farmer that was stupid enough to take his tractor down there found one at 11:30 - I'll meet ya there at 12 thoity he goes.
Goes home has a brew meanwhile dad grabs his camera - funny bugger. So off we go back again with two towropes then we can link em together so the tractor can reach us. I sat at the entrance to the woods well out of the way - caused enough trouble for 1 day - waiting - about half an hour later 1 tractor came down followed by my extremley dirty car. So moral of the story - if you don't know where the road goes - do not go down it. Don't listen to anybody else - ever.
Ps will post pictures when developed.

There's a rule where I live. It goes something like this:
If you get stuck in the mud, out in the middle of nowhere, stay in your vehicle. In about 15 minutes, you will be pulled out by 4 guys sitting in a 4x4, drinking beer. Do not get out of your vehicle, do not try to help them; they live for this.
well there were 4 fireguys but they didn't bring any beer with them. And I did sit in my car while my brother and pal walked half a mile to the entrance of the track to meet them. I was a bit worried in a dark wood on my tod specially since about 6 7 months ago some guy was killed in the same wood and theres a rapist in there somewhere.
The farmer definetly looked like he was on something - I mean he was stupid enough to go down there as well to pull me out.

Come along wouldn't have helped him. Unless you are referring to a wench.(Sp?) That's why you have a fourwheel drive truck. You can go anywhere and if you can't you can usually find a bulldozer near by. Hehehe did you know that all catepillar dozers use the same key. Lets just say I never get stuck.
