Looking for portable laptop for college student

I recently built a new desktop for gaming/school purposes like AutoCAD and other engineering programs. I am looking to get rid of my old laptop (Alienware M1X r2) and and looking to get a new smaller and more portable option. I would only really need this laptop to take to class and run a few basic programs that are required for my classes and most of these do not require a lot of power to do. I was looking at the Asus Vivobook X202e because of its size and cost.

1. What is your budget?
<$500

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?
11"-13", willing to go bigger if it is still a lightweight option

3. What screen resolution do you want?

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?
portable

5. How much battery life do you need?
3 hours

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?
maybe the occasional web games to kill time between classes

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)
Internet browsing, some progams for my classes, word, excel, some movie watching

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?
250gb min

9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop?
couple years

11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?
not a necessity but a nice option if it stays within budget

12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.
up for any brands, as long as they are known to be well made

13. What country do you live in?
USA

thank you!

Here you are! A little over what you wanted for screen resolution, but its less than 5 pounds, shouldn't be an issue, Guaranteed atleast 5 hours of typical college work, i.e. Word, Powerpoint, Internet surfing, etc.

If that doesn't fit you, tell me, i'll search again.

I was really hoping for something a little smaller. I really like the 11.6" sized notebooks but it seems like there aren't too many out there other than the netbooks which wouldn't be able to do what I want.
