Death to all graphics cards

I bought a cardexpert geforce2 mx with twin view the other day. Since I have installed it the monoitor is blurry at a res of 1024x768 unless I knock the refresh rate down to 6o. Anyone can help me please??
Also when I run a quake3 timedemo I get 42 fps on high quality at 1024x768 which is pretty good, but at fastest quality at 640x480 I get 39 fps. Isn,t this weird, shouldn,t there be a much bigger gap?
HElp me before i go mad

If you monitor is old, it may be incapable of handling such high refresh rates.

There is an issue with Geforce2 series cards at low res 640x480.. I believe it's a driver issue..so get the new detonator beta drivers from www.apushardware.com

I believe this is normal for GeForce cards. Put in an ATI card at the same resolution and refresh rate and you'll get a crisp picture!
I've experienced this myself when I replaced my Rage Fury with an Elsa Erasor X card.

Give me a break! GeForce2 doesn't have bad picture quality! It's just that Radeon has a LITTLE BIT BETTER image quality. Barely even noticeable.

IT doesn't count for the desktop anyways.

THanks guys but I had a guy over and he reckon it was the card itself. We took it but and the new cardex card isnt blurry at all. Still get the weird quake3 thing.

Well then the new card hasn't solved your problem at all. If you get less fps at lower resolution, then there is a problem. Why don't you go buy new monitor anyway and enjoy it? I recommend the Compaq MV940 19" monitor. Beautiful looking monitor with crisp vibrant images. Not to mention the same depth as a 17" monitor! The price can be up to $500 US dollars, though. I have one, and I wouldn't use anything else!

Of course, when I say the Geforce card's picture is not as good as the ATI picture, I don't mean the GeForce card is useless. Text is still well readable.

...and I do hope so 'cause I recently ordered a Hercules 3D Prophet II Pro GTS card.
