Which Gaming Laptop?

So, I'm looking at picking up a new laptop to use as a desktop replacement. I like the portability and the option to play games on the go, or being able to hook it up to what i call my "docking station" and use it as I would a desktop. My dilema is, which one to buy, and what the reliability of the manufacturers are.

Currently I'm running an ASUS G74SX, and love it, but with crysis 3 and Rome 2 around the corner, (and having to play farcry 3 on medium, and still suffer a bit) It's time for a bit of an upgrade.

The top contenders from some of my research have been:

MSI GT70-0NE

Alienware m17x configured to around the same specs as the MSI,

I've been dabbling with the idea of the "New Razer Blade" overpriced and underpowered as it is, the portability seems great,

And the Samsung Series 7 Gamer

I've also checked out laptops by "Ibuypower" im not sure what to think of them, because im quite unfamiliar with the brand.

While cheaper is certainly preferable, my top end would be ~2500 for a laptop. What have you guys bought in the past, whats worked well, and whats broken down almost immediately?

Thanks for the help!

Actually, none of those options are very good, considering what you are paying for them.

I hope I don't sound like a sell-out, but xoticpc.com, at least for me, is the best place to go to buy a gaming laptop, it sells laptops from trusted brands like SAGER, MSI, etc, for half the price you would get a comparable notebook on say, Newegg.

Also you can configure it, something you cant do on newegg or amazon, and with all
the money your willing to spend you could get a better deal with XOTICPC.

Those are my 2 cents on your problem, check the site, and if you don't like it then come back and I'll be glad to help you out.

Of those two, I would go with the MSI. It has an SSD whereas the Samsung does not and that will make a huge impact on waking the laptop and running basic apps like your browser.

Thanks for the response Stuffsearcher.

Im browing through Xoticpc, and while its a little hard to navigate at first I think im getting it :)

I'm seeing brands im not really familiar with, Sager and Clevo to note the two I see the most of. Any word on what the reliability is for those makes?

Also, I forgot to note I live in Canada, Do they ship up this way?
