XP Blue Screen Error

I finally got my new motherboard up and running. Everytime I tried to boot into Windows my computer would reboot. I used the Windows XP disc to format the PC. When I try to install Windows XP again, I receive various different Blue Screen Errors, the one I have gotten more than once says:

Windows is shutting down to prevent damage to your computer
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

followed by a list of isntructions to check hardware, software, things I can't even do. Is that a hardware problem? Maybe I have some faulty memory? Or is it Windows XP?

i can be either a little hd or memory problem. try these things:
- uplug all your memory modules and insert them back in again. if not, try takin one of them (if you got more than 1) and try installing windows.

if it still doesnt work.
- using a boot diskette, run scandisk to check the hd and then delete your partition and create a new one using fdisk.

I be betting HDD i have to get my 80 gig replaced cause it likes to turn it self off periodically... windows dont like that too much.

page faults are mostly CPU and memory errors, check the hardwares first.

on my pc, a generic ram and a hynix ram is mixed.
And the same error shows up: PAGE_fault.

well we have some options to got over now dont we. Im prone to beleive the memory is at issue i misread the posts and the follow up posts.
