crap crap crap! Help! got bx mobo agp1x

Canceled order for AIW because I was not sure if bx=agp1x can handle 4x card. I thought agp was backward compatable but now think only back so far. Stole ati rage 128 pro 2000 from a friend (yes I have a friend). Some rage 128 are claiming 1x/2x others 2x/4x but none 1/2/4. I think the card is a 2/4 so did I just fry it by sticking it in a bx agp1x board? Is that "stupidest thing you have ever done" thread still going? Crap!!!!

That wouldn not fry it, not even hurt it. And the BX supports 2x AGP, not just 1x. Your AIW would have worked fine.

Thanks for your reply. Was able to get some sleep after reading. Still not sure aiw rad is going to work because rage 128 pro did not work. In the middle of smashing a mpg4 with old tnt card so I'll try rage again later.
