Audio stops working after laptop goes to sleep!

I have a Toshiba A215-S6804 and once the laptop goes to sleep the audio will not be working anymore when it wakes up. I have to restart the laptop for the audio to work again. When it comes out of sleep the speaker icon on the bottom right has a red circle with an "X" in it. When I put the mouse over it it says "No audio output device installed" I click on it and it attempts to fix it but then it says "Hardware changes might not be detected". I thought it might be something with the software so I did a clean Windows 7 reinstall and that did not fix it. I also went to the Toshiba website to update audio drivers and that didn't work either. When I restart the computer the audio works fine for however long I let it not go to sleep. As soon as it goes to sleep its guaranteed not to work until I restart it. If anyone else has any ideas I'd appreciate it. Thank You
