I know this is probably a old question by now.
But I have a not so old PcChips M748MR also known as a Amptron PII-3748M mobo with sis 5595 chipset and sis 620 8mb shared integrated video. The chipset has turned out to be real good(3 years now). The video has great still pictures but it is Oh So Slow. The benchmarks are in the lowest percentile.
Now before you say get a new video card I want any of you who know to think about this.
I have seen benchmarks (many) that say this video setup is slower than anyone elses with the same setup.
Ive done the whole driver thing. But I cant help but feel I missed something. My board has no bus master\dma options in win 98se for hdd or cd. Dont know why. Could these be related?
I want to give this to the parental units so I could really use the help. Have a heart.
M78mr mobo
400mhz slot1 celeron
win 98se
sis620 video
sis 5595 chipset (works fine)
cmedia pci sound pro on board (works fine)
pctel integrated soft modem (works fine)
what else can I tell You Mom needs your help

That video really sucks....
even a 45$ riva tnt2 based video card would be like SUPER compared to it...check out www.pricewatch.com
you can get it in pci if your system doesnt have agp.
