Extend gaming life of P2 300

As I am a starving student :) my system is a lethargic P2 300, 64 MB RAM with a 12 MB VooDoo2. I'd really like to extend the gaming life of the machine by either adding RAM or getting a new video card (GeForce2 MX or TNT2 perhaps) since I can't afford to gut it (i.e. new Mobo/CPU). Is this possible or is my CPU speed just TOO limiting to benefit from a video card more powerful than my VooDoo2.

Thanks for any info!!

I'd agree on upgrading your processor. You might also want to look into the Geforce2MXs if you want to extend gaming life further. Maybe get some more RAM if you have the money to spend on it.

You can likely upgrade to Celeron 500 and get a new video card, a Geforce MX will do, and upgrade your RAM to 128mb or more.
