only two of my four speakers work properly

I've got some logitech z-560 speakers, and they worked just fine untill i reinstalled the soundcard drivers and software. the soundcard is creative SB live! 5.1 digital. i've changed the settings in the surround mixer to 4 speakers, but only the front speakers work. i'm sure they are properly connected.

how can i fix this?

go into the windows audio setup and tell it you have 4 speakers. its separate from the software for the sound card. it took me forever to figure that out.
