I would like to know why Tom chose the more expensive Asus V7700 GTS when there are other GTS' from people like visiontek and whoever else. Is there really a difference between them, or are you just paying for the name?

thanks,

brad

I don't know about speed, but Asus cards generally have more facilities...tv out etc. Asus are also usually top of the pile for quality, and we all like a quality bit of gear.

I don't buy it. The others have tv-out too. Maybe there is something else Asus provides that the others don't, but what is it? Maybe Tom's is just partial towards Asus?

I think he went with the Asus video card because he was using an Asus motherboard. This combination offers good compatibility for good stability.
