I'm having issues with XP pro.
I'm finding that lately whenever i connect to the internet and then go to
start Internet Explorer... the system just hangs. Nothing loads. I try
CTRL+ALT+DEL to open task manager... and that does nothing, and not even my
hard drive responds.
I thought i could get around it by opening windows explorer and using that
as a browser... and it starts to load a web page, but then freezes and stops
responding.
When i eventually close that, my taskbar and desktop icons disappear and i'm
just left with my desktop display until such time as Task Manager then starts
and everything is restored - but that usually takes a couple of minutes to
kick in.
Would really appreciate some help with this?
Should i uninstall then re-install internet explorer??

You should start with the area you haven't mentioned at all. Up to date
anti-virus scans and anti-spyware scans.
