Windows 7 hates my camera

Hello,
I have a home-built dual-boot PC with XP and Windows 7. On XP, my camera works great. On Windows 7, when I connect my camera using my USB cable, it fails miserably. If I look in Device Manager, I get "The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)". I've tried searching for drivers through windows update, uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers, playing with BIOS settings, ... Nothing helps. Anyone have any ideas?

  2. Canon PowerShot SD1100 IS
  3. Is this where you are getting your drivers from? http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/support/consumer/digital_cameras/powershot_sd_series/powershot_sd1100_is#DriversAndSoftware

  4. There are no drivers on that site. For every OS you select it says

"No drivers are available for this selection. This operating system may not require a driver or, in the case of older operating systems, may no longer be supported."
