I know, old video cards. I have a Diamond Voodoo2 12 MB and a Creative Labs Voodoo2 12 MB. I've heard that they have to be the same brand voodoo2 to SLI them together. I was wondering if I would somehow be able to hook these two cards up and run them in SLI somehow?? Anybody know if this would be possible?
Thanks

I don't know if it can be done. I have heard or some people being able to do this, but I don't know of which vendors' cards were used. I'd imagine it could work -- especially since both cards have the same amount of memory.

I doubt you'll hurt any card by trying, so here's what I'd do:
Download the latest REFERENCE driver for the cards -- I believe 3dfx now refers to this configuration as a "voodoo2-1000" card. Also, check the memory speed of your cards. If one card has faster ram than the other, I'd place the card with the SLOWER ram in your first available PCI slot, in hopes that the slower card sets the sync.

Good luck!

Do some searching but there are drivers out there for mixed cards that support sli.

A little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing!

The newer drivers allowed SLI like you describe with different brands. Good Luck, Take-Out
