It was my understanding that ddr was better than sdr?.

However i am currently looking to by a geforcemx card
and someone in an earlier htread said that the geforcemx ddr is 64bit and the sdr is 128bit saying that the sdr is better.

I thought they only made the geforces in ddr now?, do they make geforcemx cards in both? isn't ddr always the best?,

DDR is better/faster/newer (Double as opposed to Single, hence DDR/SDR). Get the DDR card.
Not sure if they make geforcemx cards in both but get the DDR one.

I don't know why someone would say the SDR is better I think they were confused. If I am wrong and someone knows something that I don't, correct me, but to the best of my knowledge DDR is always superior.

Well DDR is better on every card except the GeForce2 MX.

With the MX cards, the memory bus is 128-bit on the SDR cards. But on the DDR card it's only 64-bit. The SDR GeForce2 MX card is better. That's the only card where the SDR version is better.

Avoid the one made by Creative Labs.

DDR is not 64 bit by nature, only in its implementation by creative labs in there version of the MX. Avoid this card. All other things being equal ddr is superior to SDR but creative choose to casterate it and use it only as a marketing ploy.

A little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing!
