Windows 7 notebook

Hello,
Whenever I turn it on I always get a duplicate screen or like a shadowed screen. The screen behind is exatly the same screen in front and eveything I do on the front screen is shadowed by the back one. How can I get rid of this screen? It's gotta be something simple..right?
