Okay guys, anyone fancy themselves up on the market of video cards? I play Quake III, I play Counterstrike (ranked 6 2v2 in the nation BAYBEEE), watch DVD's, DIVX, etc... I want something that is fast... a TV out and an additional monitor out wouldnt hurt, if it didnt destroy the price...

can I ge ta little help? multiple opinions encouraged :)

ATI has the best TV out. nVidia is the fastest. Which is more important to you?

Which Ati Radeon? And why is it better than GeForce2's?

Yeah!
ATI STINKS!!

Better burn in Hell with some company than freeze in Heaven all alone

GeForce 2!
It has TV-Out, DVI connection!
You can watch DVD without a problem (Hardware support!)!
And its the fastest one for games!

Don“t listen to all that ATI crap!
Their support is worse than their cards!

If you check prices i think the radion 32meg DDR board
has the best price/performance/feature set
however you can go for a gforce2 MX with twinview for cheaper....and still get decent frame rates
If all you want is the best 16bit color performance go for gforce2 gts....
for all of those with a gf2 Pro or ultra...how can you justify the price of it.. when in 6 monthes they will be 1/2 price when the new ones come out?

now before all you nvidia freak flamers(hobbit esp)
jump on this...ponder this

New drivers for ati
massive price slashings
www.hardocp.com new article.
And while alot of people post ati horror stories
I quite frankly think that some people dont like ati so they are making up some (let me repeat SOME I know some are true)of these stories.....
As for the crappy tech support i wrote for help on my ati rage fury MAXX (good card +no windows 2kpro support= I sold it). I emailed them got a reply in about a one business day)i emailed on sat) and then they replied to MY reply within a couple hours...
btw anyone with an FIC SD11 motherboard *lmao@you* good luck finding a video card that works worth a crap

My 5x DVD-rom w/ ati radeon 32mb ddr. runs at 60fps with a CELERON(p2) 533. ATi has the lowest usuage for dvd 10% - 20%!!! so it the cpu works on sound it never slows down while playing.

ATI radeon 32meg DDR is the best price/performace, bar none! It can be had for <$90 and is now FASTER than the GTS thanks to a driver update (I've read a recent review). The very first reviews were before nvidia updated thier drivers and retook the speed lead. Now ATIs got it.

Stop posting that damn message everywhere! I'M TIRED OF POINTING OUT THAT THE RADEON 32MB DDR DEFINATLEY DOESN'T BAG THE 32MB DDR GTS IN TERMS OF PERFORMANCE. Except for DVD, which is only a slight/moderate improvement on the radeon.
