My Machine:
Athlon xp 1252mhz,
biostar M7ncdpro Mobo, chipset Nvidia nforce2 400
1024 ram
180GB maxtor hdd (120 & 60)
Nvidia fx 5600xt graphics card (openGL)

running XP pro sp1

a wee while ago I managed to change my logon screen so I didnt have to
enter my password, and it worked for a little while (cant remember how
i did it)

now, its started being silly. I've started to get 2 log on screens,
one demanding the password, one not - and I have to tab-alt between
them to enter my password and log on to windows. how do I get rid of
this? - I dont care if I have to keep entering my password, Its just a
pain having to tab-alt between logon screens.

No major changes have been made, no viruses or spyware detected.

I recommend you choose a password, but you don't have to. o to start/run, and type 'control userpasswords2' , Uncheck the password
option, and follow the wizard. This will log you on without asking for the password

(I would toggle this on and off, with a restart in between to see if you can reset the registry entry.)
