The Game Hippo team. They used to come 'round here a lot, now they don't
so much (if at all).

Have a great day!

In my humble Gamehippo is a sleeping website. Nobody maintains the site
anymore. :-(

Quite possibly because Rudy's site has overtaken them. I use Caiman
almost exclusively now, and GH hardly at all. Rudy's site is just so
much nicer overall.

My son and I were discussing that the other day. He was like "But we can
still use Game Hippo, right?" I agreed, then proceeded to show him
Rudy's site. He was hooked ;-).

Have a great day!

WOW. That's really kind of you :-))

A mirror site would be great, but is it possible? A real miror would take 3 GB
space and has to be an ASP hosting (for votings, counters, etc)

But I am thinking... You would like to have a kid safe website. Maybe a kind of
reduced mirror site (only the kid safe games) could be the solution!
What do you think? Is it possible?

Thanks again,
Rudy

Boy I like your thinking! :O)

Your option # 2 (a reduced mirror site for kids) sounds better because
not only will I be able to mirror your site (or at least the kids
portion) but add to it as well (at least my part of my website).

I think it is something we can work out....

Me too :-))

A suggestion:
You create a create a site as you like with only one game at it. At this manner I can
add your source code for that game to my database program. So, my DB program can update
your site as much as you like. Maybe daily.
Or in case you prefer using a database on your site, tell what kind of database (+table
and field names).
At this manner it will be your website with your layout. What do you think about?

Rudy

A good remark of you!
Most of them: yes, of course.
But at the other hand, I could complain over other freeware sites who are direct linking
to my own downloads without my permission.
Don't forget that I host 422 games without any link to any download or homepage, because
I am the only one who publish those games.
+ I provide some games (like Beatball and all my own written games), whereby every
freeware site may direct link to my downloads. And they do!
eg. Last month, they downloaded 94,903 times that game Beatball only (a 32 MB game).

Don't spend too much money, else I will offer you some free space at our caiman
server for your kid site :-)
(in that case my mirror will be gone, but who cares ;-))
