This is a question our teacher says is a real stumper--do any of you brainy folk out there know it--it's driving me crazy!

I think its CPI, counts per inch, but then again that might just be the setting you use. I know really cheap mice use like 100 CPI, the real good mice use 1000 CPI. CPI translates mouse movement to cursor movement.
