Laptop screen or VGA problem?

can you tell me what is my laptop problem?
Its a Sony FE series VGN-FE38GP.
I swear the image above its not edited.
Anyway,the onboard graphics is a Nvidia Geforce GO 7600.
I installed the latest version (compatible with my current hardware)
and after reboot,my windows doesn't start anymore.
After the boot Win XP logo,it goes blank.
I try to start the safe mode,uninstall and then run enable vga safe mode.
Then,it wen back to 640x480 4 bit screen resolution.
Then more problems went in after i change the screen resolution to 1024x768(vga mode max)and in 32 bit. blank screen,blackout. I have to start over the process again. a reboot and enable vga safe mode.its a pain in the neck. And,are there any solution that can be made with my advanced knowledge in PC to fix this problem? if there is,please guide me and any info given is hugely appreciated.
