The picture of Nvchips-fr confirms that the GeForce3 card (known as NV20 previously) pictures posted one month ago by a Chinese site-Pcreporter-online to be real. Though those pictures at Pceporter-online were deleted owing to some sensitive issues, the enjoyment of viewing them is here.
So when nVidia officially launches the NV-20 it looks like a number of manufactures are ready to deliver the goods. So maybe a March date vice April looks good. Reviews soon I hope. Price? How high after launch and then the real price 3 months later.
I remember how Microsoft was able to prevent the whole industry from selling there newest and greatest home opearating system, Windows 95, building anticipation, desire and want until a frezy was established. It was more like a new movie release than anything else. People stood in lines, I remembered it all to well at Egghead when they had stores. Just think standing in line for hours waiting to buy WinMe (yea, right) but Microsoft was able to pull it off. My brother owned and still owes a chain of computer stores and he wouldn't sell one copy of Windows 95 before that date, not even give it away and he is such a weasel for money. It worked, Microsoft sold probably more copies of Windows on that one day then any other day until the horror stories started to filter through on all those 386/486 machines loaded with non plug-n-play devices. A Feb 27 launch for NV-20 without a single review in site? March will soon be here, hopefully NV-20 will be king.

I have a bad feeling that they won't drop in price that much. Mainly because there's nothing else on the market that can seriously compete with the GF Ultra and GF Pro. So why would nVidia drop prices drastically? Just a hunch though. I think the GTS will drop in price pretty good though. Also, I doubt that nVidia is going to seriously market the NV20 anytime soon because they'd be cutting off their own noses with the XBox. For sure, the NV20 will not be affordable until the Xbox is released. I know one thing, if the XBox is going to be all it's supposed to be i'm going to buy one.
<font color=purple>XBIT has an interesting newspost on Nvidia's Geforce 3. GeForce3 cards are expected to start selling in mid March at 699$! The Geforce 3 will run at 200 MHz and will use 460 MHz memory (230 MHz DDR).
