Now, this is a weird question.
I installed a new Geforce2 GTS in my system (Celeron 533, 256MB RAM). All games run great. I can run Alice in 1600x1200 and it will only get choppy in tight fights (which is why I don't).
Anyway, I run Midtown Madness 2, go to graphics setup, turn on all the bells and whistles and select "Hardware acceleration with T&L engine", cause I'm sure my card has it. The game runs like a slide show. I go back to setup and select 640x400 resolution. It's still choppy as hell.
So, just for the heck of it, I select "Hardawar acceleration (no T&L engine)". And lo and behold, the game runs great, even en 1600x1200 with all the bells and whistles.
Any idea what happened? The card is a Creative Annihilator 2, I tried both the Creative and the Detonator drivers (but I'm currently using the Detonators)
