Toms Power Box

Am I missing something here? Tom's Power box didn't reach 10k in 3d mark while a guy reached 10123 using Athlon 700@1050. The guy's Ultra wasn't even overclocked while Tom said his card went to 500MHz (4 ns Ram) without a prob. What's the story?

Boy some people just dont seem to get things at all. Tom Stated that he was in fact not overclocking his video card at all in his benchmarks. On several test the graphics card was clearly the limiting factor ( largely due to the fact there was no overclocking of the memory). Next the 700 @ 1050 is only possible by overclocking the fsb thus overclocking the agp bus and on any system this will results in increased video performance ( however stability is a concern seeing how the agp bus is out of spec). And how are you so sure that the mentioned user was not in fact overclocking his card?

A little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing!
