gawd no I don't think so...
I got a 4MB VooDoo in my other computer which extended its life for a year at least but it was long ago obsolete... a 4MB 2d-only is fine for 2d Windows, mostly... but you can't seriously expect to play Alice -- which many consider the most breathtakingly beautiful and intricate but also devilishly graphically complex and power-intensive game on a non-3d card... on a *laptop*...
aren't there requirements listed somewhere on the box?
in either case -- its a laptop... you can do spreadsheets, you can do some office work, but you really shouldn't try to play bleeding-edge 3d graphics on it!
