Well what is the Best. I think OpenGL is the best. Direct 3d [-peep-] sucks.

Guess i dont give a [-peep-] about 3d mark 2000 or upcoming 3d mark 2001. Cause it bench's Direct 3d only. Direct 3d users [-peep-] you.

Go buy your microsoft office 2000 for $200+

I'll Stick with Staroffice 5.2 for FREE

I have actually been waiting for a thread like this to ask this question....are you aware of any benchtests that use opengl? It would be interesting if such a program like 3dmark existed for opengl (glmark?). I will agree opengl rocks.......d3dsucks!

A little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing!

Only way I know to test opengl speed in max is to set the time off real time so it forces the vidcard not to skip any frames. Then, time the how long it takes to update them. If it is smooth then who cares the actual rate you get, if it's below 20 it will be really choppy and you'll be able to actually count them go by, that is a bad thing :) My tnt2 sucks in max, well not all that bad but I'd like to be able to work with a 6000 poly character in a scene without it being like 10 fps.
