Hey guys, so about a few months ago, a company that I will not name took my computer in for their 1-year warranty policy. They insured me that my problem would be fixed, even if it went over the specified time frame. My problem was not fixed, and they held my laptop for over 3 months, and all they did was format it. During that time, the warranty expired. I called back and they said there was "nothing we can do" since the warranty is gone. Goes to say, wont be doing business with them again.
Anyways, my problem is that during video plays and gaming, my screen freezes up randomly. It's pretty bad because it's very unpredictable as to when it will occur. Also, during games such as League of Legends, the audio constantly stutters. I checked my RAM and did a clean reformat at least 3 times, along with a disk cleaner and HDD checker. I've posted my logs up here once and no one said anything was wrong. I'm guessing it's a video card problem, and I need advice on what to do.
My laptop has pretty decent parts, aside from the video card. I was thinking, should I upgrade to the MSI MS-16GA? It has a GT 650m GPU while I have a GT 540M. The barebones costs $600ish. I do not have much experience with laptops, so would setting one up be too much of a task for me to handle? Also, would my i7 processor, HDD, and everything else possibly fit inside the new case? The cases have the same dimensions it seems.
