Hi

Just reinstall XP Pro.
However after installing the Service Pack1'whenever i boot up i get a welcome screen with my name and the little picture and i have to click on OK to get to the Desktop.

How do i get it to boot straight to Desktop and bypass his screen.
I live alone so i have no security issues with other users.

Thanx

Click on Start, and then click on Run.
In the Open box type "control userpasswords2". Click OK.
Then uncheck the box that says "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer" and then click OK.
Now you automatically login.
Or you could just use TweakUI to do it.

After you did the sp1 install you must also have done the .net update (as well as others) from microsoft's update site on the web.

If this is the case, go into control panel users and delete the .net........... user account. Delete it and all the files.

Next time you log in you will not be prompted to select a user.
