Hi guys, it's me again.
I was thinking about to buy alienware m17x r4 but my question is:
Will he run games like Crysis 3 and "Battlefield 4" using his own configuration, and with 7970m
Thanks.

We dont know, but probably on high.
Youl get a much better deal on a gaming laptop from other brands like ASUS
example:
m17x 2300$
-i7 @ 3.2ghz
-7970m
-8gb DDR3
-1tb HDD
-DVD
-2.5 hour battery life
ASUS RoG laptop- $1800
-i7 @ 3.6ghz
-GTX 685m
-16GB DDR3
-256gb SSD + 500GB HDD
-Blu-Ray
-5 hour battery life -
Also, if you're going to buy the M17x, then you need to make sure that you are buying it in a configuration that includes the upgraded 1920x1080 display. You generally should not buy the Alienware M17x in any configuration that includes the default 1600x900 display.
1600x900 resolution in a 17.3" display makes things onscreen large, and 17.3" displays that have 1600x900 resolution tend to be low-grade LCD panels with very poor image quality due to low contrast. You should make a point to avoid displays like this (15.6" 1366x768, 17.3" 1600x900, etc.) when it is reasonable to do so, unless you require the larger text for eyesight-related reasons.
This puts the cheapest recommendable configuration of the M17x at $1649, and then the GPU upgrades will add further cost onto that. -
Any of these are better bang/buck than Alienware.

This is a 15" display by the way... but yeah, alienware is overpriced.
Can you guys convince me that I shouldn't buy an alienware because I like him A LOOOT, and I want him... Any benchmarks that proves another gaming pc cheaper than him is better? And, I'll have the possibility to play bf3 in ultra settings? And any future games possibly on ultra? -
At 2000$, Alienware wont give you a 250GB SSD like this:

SSD is used for what? and this 670m is worse than 7970m... Well anyway, I don't know what I'm feeling but I don't think it's a good deal these laptops... I search the web and some sites said that m17x r4 is the best gaming laptop... Well... I'm thinking about getting this asus or maybe alienware... Actually I reaaaaally need a lot of help choosing a laptop because I'm so confused

take a look at sager laptops. they are great for gaming

No, the ASUS G75 with GTX 670m is not in the same league as the Alienware with 7970m. But Alienware is overprice charging so much for 7970m.
Clevo P150EM at xoticpc with a 7970m and i7-3630QM is only $1514.
http://www.xoticpc.com/sager-np9150-clevo-p150em-p-4341.html?wconfigure=yes
Select $100 off, 7970m, 8GB 1333MHz RAM, Windows 8.
If you want to max out the $2000 you have:

Select $100 off, Crossfire 7970m, 8GB 1333MHz DDR3 and Windows 8 for $2014. -

Its just crazy fast as far as response time, they take some time to get used to, but once you get used to a high dpi mouse, your targeting is much faster compared to ther peoples. -

i have the razer deathadder black edition and zowie ec1 black gaming mouses. they are both comfortable and great. -
well the Zowie Ec1 black was designed by a former counter strike pro Emil “HeatoN” Christensen so it has the approval of a FPS legend
personally i havent used a more comfortable mouse than the ec1 black. i used razer death adder, logitech g9x, steelseries sensei and a few others.
however i do like the loud solid clicks of the deathadder -
I'm going to play games like BF3, COD BO2, future games like Crysis 3, "CoD MW4", "BF4"... I was taking a look to Razer Imperator, Deathadder and some others razer mouses.
This mouse is a good choice? http://www.amazon.com/Razer-Imperator-Gaming-Mouse-RZ01-00350300-R3M1/dp/B005N7H3PU/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1356313327&sr=8-3&keywords=razer+imperator+mouse
I liked this BF3 edition -
I just bought an m17x r4 like new condition off ebay -- i7 3720qm -- 8gb ram -- 256gb ssd -- 750gb hdd -- 7970m -- all for $1500.
Awesome deal, and I think people bash alienware to much, I came from my custom built desktop with a i52500k -- gtx 680 with a triple monitor Nvidia surround setup. So I know best of both worlds, and I can say alienware is worth it ....*IF* you search for a deal, don't settle for brand new overpricing. Alienware has awesome solid build, and the features are pretty cool. Most people just like to bash alienware because they like to go with the flow of enthusiasts.
Just my point of view, always gotta have at least one person not bashing alienware
(I'm not a fanboy in anyway either, I have a laptop now because I have started to travle a lot. haha)austing said:Any of these are better bang/buck than Alienware.

Nah those are actually overpriced, the 670 is still fermi based, and it isn't kepler, just a remake of the 570. Gotta get the 670MX for true kepler, and those aren't even found in the asus lineup.austing said:At 2000$, Alienware wont give you a 250GB SSD like this:

Unless of course you actually look around on ebay or someother website besides the retailers. -
Guys my dad is going to the US and he will be there until 21th january... Dell sucks but I really want the crap of alienware... It's my choice. Was trying to buy and that's what I saw: "estimated ship date 22 Jan 2013" - I was actually getting m18x
Nice thing... And was talking to a customer he said that alienware customized will be there later than 22th...
I'm going to be in a hotel in Las Vegas do you guys please know another place that I can get him until 21 january? (I prefer until 20) another site that I can get and deliver in hotel? any place? and if I can't get him the way I want can you guys say me a good place to buy him online or in physical stores in Las Vegas ?
Thanks guys. I'm really disapointed at dell... but It's my choice
Budget arround $2700 (less is better , ofc haha)
Will be great with these specs but can be without them:
Killer Wireless 1103
Crossfire 7970m (this is actually needed have to be with this)
i7 3630QM or more
Windows 8 will be great but can be with Windows 7
HD 750GB or more
8GB ram
Space Black Anodized Aluminium
and I'd love to personalize the plate but if I can't it's ok
