I just sold my Geforce because Geforce3 just came out heheh. I'm probably going to upgrade to a geforce2 ultra when the price comes down a bit. As of now, I'm using the Herculues Dynamite TNT2 ultra I purchased off ebay for $60US.
The problem is, the card constantly freezes with my fav game -> quake2. I tried the default win ME driver, the nvidia driver and the herculues driver. What could be the problem? Do you think the chipset itself is bad? Because the card did freeze once in a while in my dad's machine as well when running quake2.
My current system is
Asus P3B-F
P3-800
tnt2-ultra
Sb Live value
256MB of ram
Keep in mind that Nvidia is very touchy about clearing out old driver files; BTW, what DX version are you running?? How 'bout Windows version--ME or 98SE?? IMHO, ME is just a step backwards....there's almost too many things to look for; software reinstalls, especially after hardware swaps, are sometimes helpful.
