I'm putting together a system with an Asus A7V133 mobo and 1.2 GHz Thunderbird. I had planned on using an Nvidia GeForce 2 MX chipset graphics card, but saw somewhere that reviews have shown this combination will result in the video card becoming a bottleneck for the system. Any comments or suggestions? Can anyone point me to these reviews? Thanks in advance.

You don't need a review--why spend money on speed when you want to cripple it with the MX? This would be like putting a Winston Cup car together with passenger car tires! If you want to work or play in any of the higher resolutions and color depths, don't skimp on the video card. If you still need more info, this site or Anand's probably has an MX review.

depends on what u intend to do on your pc.
if u wanna game in higher resolution and have an 19 inch monitor: go for a more expensive speedier geforce.

if u are into 3d graphics like 3ds max etc, buy the geforce mx and as fast a cpu as possible. the more expensive geforce ain´t gonna help u push 200 000 poly´s round your viewport that much. the cpu will however.

good luck!

[-peep-] the reviews

I have a friend that has a GF2 MX and he has a AMD Athlon 1.1GHz and it runs fine on his he got a benchmark of 5000 with it might not sound like much but it is pretty good compared. If i was you i would go for it.
