? on Radeon Direct-x 8 beta drivers

Has anyone tried to use the Diect-X 8 beta drivers on ATI's site yet? I am using the latest official driver release with DX 8 and having no problems, but am curious whether the new optimized drivers offer any benefit. Been a little skittish about trying them given ATI's driver rep. Any comments appreciated.

Actully the drivers you are using didn't work for me. I used the dx8 drivers and they seemed to work fine for me. I have drivers from <A HREF="http://rage3d.com/" target="_new">http://rage3d.com/</A>. They are working fine too.
