How dose the tragedy affect you?

I know all NYers were hit the hardest by this unbelievable event but even in Las Vegas the effects were very pronounced.

I got to work this morning at 6:30 and everybody was watching the TV (that’s never on). What I saw shocked me and had me in a state of disbelief most of the day. This is how it affected Vegas.

Many major casinos were closed (Stratosphere Tower & Eiffel tower).

All the major malls closed.

Government workers at the Test site (& Yucaa Mtn.) sent home.

Hoover Dam Closed.

All this week there have been lots of red flag flight’s over Nellis Air force base but today almost none and on a heightened alert (traffic around the base was bad). I’m sure McCarren airport was not a fun place to be either.

Throughout the whole day all the people I saw were listening to their radio with a look of sadness or seriousness. I read meters and it was like something was in the air making this day like no other.

Thx & Cya

Very, very sorry to hear that. I will be seeing tomorrow what has happened at school, as many of my fellow classmates have parents working in WTC.

Tempus, I'm so sorry.

I see stupid people. They're everywhere. They walk around like everyone else.

Tempus, my condolences go out to you...
Just because I'm not an American doesn't matter in a case like this; it's a frightening event for us all.

I will know dozens of families who will have lost loved ones. At this time, all of my friends are not accounted for. Hopefully, they spent the night in Manhatten, as it was very difficult to get out of the city yesterday.
