I haven't had that problem with mine. I know two other people with this
phone who I see on a regular basis, and they haven't mentioned it to me,
either. Perhaps it's a reception/transmission issue with your area....?

This has happened with my 730, my old 95 and my older 85. I think its just
part of cellular service, being in an area with weak service.

Welcome to digital service. X's or O's, on or off, you have it or you
don't, No static! Your voice is converted to data and smashed into a
packet and sent over the air then converted back to analog. Meaning
if it is to weak you lose packets and parts of the conversation. In or
out doesn't matter. That is why it often sounds like you are gargling
under water.

All the 3 digit Nextel phones(i730, 205..) use a different size (6:1
ratio) for the packets of data than the 2 digit phones (i90, i85..)
(3:1 ratio)for the cellular service. So the quality of a cellular
call will be less on a 3 digit phone in a weak area. But on the up
side the change allows Nextel to double it's cellular capacity.
