Nero, Roxio, RecordNow

So I bought myself a Presario S3000nx XP 2200 and Monitor for $710.00 CDN including tax ($540.00 US)With all of its software and etc. So I have been removing programs left and right and then I removed "RecordNow as I don't really know this program. Anyway, Nero and Roxio wont work as the drivers don't work on the CDRW (Sony CRX 215E5). I have tried to go to the websites for updates, but I can't understand Nero's and well, Roxio requires a login, which I haven't got. I don't mind using RecordNow, but if I want to put anything on a CDRW, I have to reformat the disc, which I don't want to do as I already have stuff on it. Both Nero and Roxio understand each other, so I can pop it into my other computers without a problem. Then I can drop and drag. But with my new computer, I'll have to have special CDRW's to drop and drag. I guess that is not such a big problem. It is the "INCD" and the "Direct CD" that don't work. Advice?
