Trying to convince myself to buy a laptop. Purchasing from xoticpc. The laptop will be for everything from work, to playing movies/music, to gaming.

Questions: Is it worth $1718?; is Windows 8 decent yet?; should I change anything?

  1. Since your main usage is gaming,I'd go with GTX 680M
    And yes,it's worth it.GT 70 is one of the best gaming laptops today.
    In terms of performance,Windows 8 is identical to W7(even better in some cases).
