Does anybody know how to get into the system restore discs that I just made from my Compaq S3000nx? I just want to install Windows xp from an OEM disc (Microsoft) and then use the drivers from the Compaq Discs.I don't want all of that other programing cluttering up my computer. Is this possible?

I think he means that he doesn't want all the Compaq bloat that comes with a Compaq computer.
You can probably get all the files that you need off of your computer right now, and burn them to cd. This might help:

You will probably have to download all your drivers seperately. I don't know for sure, because I've never tried.
Good Luck

My bad. I misread it the first time. You already have an MS OEM disk.
Try checking at Compaq's website, and see if you can download the drivers you need from there. Then copy them to cd.
