Yesterday I made a thread on two Laptop I was looking for.

Lenovo Y580 vs MSI GX60, after few research and some self-talking, I decided to stick with the Lenovo because of the upgrade possibility called "Ultrabay".

Do you know where we can buy an additionnal GPU bay ? I've seen some laptop with it, but nothing on the Lenovo store...

Thx guys :)

As far as I know, only the Y500 has that Ultrabay.

The Y580 is an earlier model.

I haven’t used a Lenovo laptop but configure Lenovo towers all the time. The build quality is questionable and we always have issues with them. I would never recommend a Lenovo, but as I said, I can't vouch for the laptops.

The Y580 in particular has been well received.

I wouldn't worry about the laptop as for reliability.
Lenovo rates MUCH higher than say Dell or Apple for actual RMA rate, show-stopping failure rate, and hardware issues.

I have a Y580 bought it in 9/2012,never heard of ultra bay. The Nvidia GTX 660m performs pretty good by itself.

I believe the ultrabay is exclusive only to the Y500 model. Just like the backlit keyboard.

The Backlid keyboard isn't exclusive to the Y500 model, the Y580 has it too :)
