Does ATI Radeon 64 DDR work on regular AGP mb's?

Hi, I have a HP 9790c Computer. About 2 months ago, I upgraded the graphics card to a ATI Radeon 64meg DDR video card, added 512 megs of ram. I've been constantly having problems such as lock ups, blue VXD error messages. I just noticed that the system requirements for the video card is 2x AGP or 2x/4x universal.

My motherboard only supports regular AGP. Is the video card causing problems?

I don't think it's your AGP slot that's the problem
what are the spec on your computer?
O another thing Pavilions are [-peep-]
I know use to work for HP!
