I am going through the pain of setting up a new computer. Everything works great until I try to run a program ( I can navigate in windows and aol works). The program setup works but as soon as the game begins to run the screen goes blank. This is true for 5 out of 5 games I have tried. I suspect the drivers. When I go to the control panel what version number should I see for the lastest nvidia drivers? Currently I am showing Bios version 3.15.00.12 Driver Version 4.12.01.0650
THe system is 1.2 Gig AMD 266 FSB
256 Ram DDR
Leadtek GeForce 2 gts/ pro 64 meg
mobo IWILL ka266r/ ka266

Thanks
Todd

I used to have the same problem under win2k. It sounds like a monitor refresh rate setting problem. Win2k lets you lock the refresh rate for a particular resolution, and if a game tries to change the resolution, the screen goes black with the little white cursor in the center. I have to manually change the settings for each game I install, usually under a .ini file.
