Toshiba Laptop

I had to install a new hard drive on my Toshiba C-655-S5123 and need a restore disk. Can anyone help me? Bruce

did yours come with one. You will have to get it from Toshiba. The laptop description states "Restore discs are no longer included with PCs. We recommend you use the installed software to create your own restore and backup DVD the first week you use the computer."

I know. My fiance works for an older woman that is bed ridden and it is her laptop(older woman). She uses it to pass her time as she sits up in bed.She does not have much money and the original hard drive was bad. She did not make a disk. I am trying to be helpful but the disk from Toshiba is 29.95 and I am trying to avoid paying that. I would like to fix it for her and not charge her anythjing as I feel bad for her but it looks like I am at a dead end. Bruce

you can also use a windows disk it should have a coa on the bottom.

Download the correct official windows 7 iso from here.

And install it using the code on the COA sticker. You will have to download the drivers from Toshiba and install them
