I have a Sony vaio quad core i3 pcg61211m (VPCEA1S1EB) laptop (Windows 7) that had a smashed screen, when replaced the screen now shows 4 displays in the screen which begins at post and in bios aswell, I did a little bit of research and heard it may be the display matrix in the screen, I bought another screen and the problem is identical. I have tried reinstalling the display driver, changing resolution and can't find anything to solve the issue.
I trowled the net and heard it may be the cable (no invertor on this model) but on a hunch I put the old smashed screen back in and it works fine (apart from the smashed corner area)
Has anyone got any idea on how to solve this issue other than sending it back to Sony?
Thank you in advance for any response and happy new year
