 I have sp2 of win xp home with automatic updates enabled. While
booting, after the starting tune is complete nothing happens for more
than a minute and then the startup programs gradually get loaded. This
happens even when I am booting in diagnostic mode. After reading the
help file, I tried running the command 'sfc /scannow' command.
Surprisingly a prompt asked me to insert sp2 PROFESSIONAL CD, whereas I
have the sp2 HOME CD installed and accordingly I again got a prompt that
I have inserted the wrong CD. Earlier my system used to boot quite fast.
I do not know what has gone wrong. My basic config is P4 HT 3 mHz , 512
ram with avast av, za free, mst and microsoft antispyware installed.
PLEASE HELP ME AS THE UNNECESSARY DELAY IS QUITE ANNOYING
