Does anybody know where is video capture option(interlaced/both fields/one field) in version 7 of Multimedia Center for ATi Cards?

As far as I can tell it captures both fields in a interlace frame without any option just to capture one field. I could be wrong. What would be the reason just to capture one field? or benefit?

What do you mean errors? Which format are you capturing in (avi, mpeg, mpegII)? I don't notice any errors except maybe some compression artifacts. I am not a professional in this but changing the compression ratio around can improve quality dramatically while increasing hard drive space required more dramatically.

I am in Europe. There is a PAL system, not NTSC. In version 6 I used only one option. Interlaced or one field and everything was OK. When I tryed used both field, signal was not so stable(bad quality, something like flickering?). So I used only one option. In version 7 default(I think) is option = both field. But If It is possible I want to changed it. Thats my problem.

i leave my aiw on one field when i capture ntsc videos. for some reason it looks really weird when i use interleaved. my vcr can handle the playback fine, and it looks fine on my tv. i had the same prob with my hophog (hauppauge) card

But how can you leave your card on one field. Where is this choice in MultimediaCenter7.x? I can't find it.
