I was thinking today when I saw the first jet in many days
race across the sky. What will happen the next time someone
decides to highjack a plane? If I was in that situation, I
would probably think "These people are, quite possibly, going
to slam this plane into another building. If I do nothing, I WILL die.
If I do something, I MIGHT be hurt or be killed."
I believe that others will feel the same way. When you have
100+ people not wanting to die versus 3-4 who want to die,
these terrorists will know TRUE terror as we tear them a new
a$$#0LE.
good luck getting even a keychain shaped like a gun past security now...i'm not saying it's impossible, but air ports are going to look like cia hedquarters for a long time.
"no vesige of a begining, no prospect of an end, when we all disenigrate, it'll all happpen again."
I think that's what happened in Pitsburg. The passagers of earlier planes assumed that if they did nothing, at worst the terrorist would divert the plane to some third world country and eventually most of them would make it home. But by the time the Pittsburg jet was taken over, the passagers were getting news of what happened, and decided to take things into their own hands. By doing this they make themselves HEROS instead of simply VICTIMS, those heroic people SAVED MANY LIVES by taking on their assailants, making their deaths a SACRIFICE instead of a WASTE. In the future more people will KNOW what has to be done, and carry out whatever means are necesary to stop their assailants, risking their lives as the Pittsburg passangers did in order to save ours (and possibly their own).
Well Bush had ordered that plane to be taken out apparently and fighters took off to late anyway, so it never eventuated that that plane was shot down (or is that what they told us)
But it would have been a tough call.

Well, the passangers who brought down that plane in an effort to regain controll are still heros, they gave their lives to save others, rather than to let the terrorist decide how they would die.
Just wondering if they did take on the hijackers and beat them how come the plane crashed even without a signal of some kind like a change in direction or a phone call, and same question if they did take them on and didnt overpower them why did the plane crash . Hasn't been a lot of information on this one except they were to be shot down if they got to close to Washington, one suspects some other interaction was at play.

Yep this could be right too.
Interesting about that guy calling home and with that dialogue with his family then suddenly phone was cut off, can only speculate what happened next, maybe he was cut short by the hijackers. Can't see why the hijackers would crash a plane in the middle of nowhere after the effort getting the plane in the first place. It also coincided with Air force one en-route with fighters guarding it to Washington and suddenly AF1 was all over the place, it was also mentioned for the first time earlier the order was given to shoot it down if it got closer to WDC but was also mentioned the fighters took off 18 minutes after the crash! (Which fighters?) But it could officially be a bomb onboard after an investigation too. Most crashes of this nature have a high degree of evidence which we have heard none of, bodies would be found and black boxes, not like it disinegrated like the others.
The site of the crash wasn't shown in detail either until today from 200ft above, was a large divot and no wreckage to be seen. Obviously they would have gathered all the wreckage to be re-assembled as they do, something not quite right about it though. Forgive me but I am a very suspicious person and truly hope I am wrong.

I don't think a conspiracy is even necessary. Everything is pretty clear cut. Even if we were to come forth and say we had shot down the plane, I don't think that would have bothered a single person.
They didn't give an order to shoot the plane down either. They just ordered that anything can be done to keep it from washington. I think they had more time to play with rather than shoot it down where they did if that was the case.
I hope you are wrong too but lets think about it. When the last plane went down 3 others had already been crashed so by the time the 4th plane is off course anybody could figure out what was likely going on. So the government knows the thing is off couse and 3 other planes have struck high profile targets including the pentagon. They also know that the 4th plane is headed twards the capitol and it has a lot farther to go cause it didn't turn back as soon as the others. I'm betting the plane also did not respond properly to hails. If they did shoot it down, which sounds better?
A) We did what we had to do and shot down our own people.
B) We were prepaired to do what needed to be done but we didn't need to because of the heros on the plane.
C) We were not ready at all thank god for the heros on the plane.
Clearly B) makes the best story. That way they didn't shoot down innocent people but they were ready to (as opposed to not ready) and we have heros.
I'm sorry but the whole thing is a little too perfect from a PR standpoint. You couldn't invent anything better. Oh yeah and besides all that the plane crashed in the reletive middle of nowhere. How perfect is that? Too perfect in my book.
My opinion is that someone somewhere did what needed to be done, either on the plane or in some F-16. My hat goes off to whomever had the courage to do what needed to be done.
If things were perfect, the hijackers would have been overpowered and the pilots would have landed the plane. The fact that it crashed in an unpopulated area is much more likely in that part of the country than hitting something. There's not much around there. And if there were military fighter jets firing missles above PA, someone would have noticed. It would likely take multiple missles to down such a large aircraft without blowing it up in mid air, which didn't happen. Most of the time, there really is no conspiracy. In my opinion of course.
I'm not saying for a fact that we shot down a plane. I really don't know. All I know for sure is that somebody made a tough choice and somebody is a hero, I'm just not for sure who.
As far as: "And if there were military fighter jets firing missles above PA, someone would have noticed." I believe they are saying that in fact there were planes ready to do the job inroute same story as the with pentagon plane. In the case of the pentagon plane they clearly didn't get to it in time but in the case of the 4th plane who knows?
